Laboratory lithium battery UPS
Laboratory instruments are sensitive to voltage fluctuation and momentary breaks. A lithium UPS gives them a stable, backed-up supply, so a run is not lost to the mains.
Some laboratory work cannot simply be repeated, and a power cut in the middle of a run can waste hours of it.

The challenge
Analytical and sample-handling instruments lose both the sample and several hours of work if the supply fails mid-run. The same instruments are sensitive to voltage fluctuation, so they need a supply that is not only backed up but stable.
What we did
We supplied an online UPS, which gives a regulated voltage and frequency output, with a lithium battery pack sized to cover a complete run rather than a token few minutes. The critical instruments were grouped on one backed-up circuit, and monitoring was added so that any mains event is logged alongside the experimental record.
The result
Runs are no longer interrupted by voltage fluctuation, and samples and data are preserved. Power events are recorded and can be checked afterwards, which makes it straightforward to judge whether the experimental conditions were affected.
