Vehicle & off-grid inverters

Special vehicles, vessels and remote sites — where the inverter has to survive vibration, wide input swings and heat, and the specification is negotiable because we build it.

What "mobile duty" actually demands

An inverter that works fine in a machine room can fail within months in a vehicle. The environments differ in three ways that matter:

  • Vibration and shock — every joint, connector and mounting point is stressed continuously; domestic-grade construction works loose
  • Wide input voltage — a vehicle's DC bus moves with engine state, alternator output and load; the inverter must ride through it
  • Thermal and dust — enclosures see heat soak, road dust and wash-down; conformal coating and derating are design inputs, not options

Every unit we supply in this class comes from our own production line, built to the duty rather than selected from a catalogue.

Typical installations

  • Telecoms and broadcast vehicles — clean AC for racks that were designed for a machine room
  • Mobile command and control rooms — CCTV, comms and computing on board, powered from the vehicle's DC system
  • Vessels and port equipment — marine-grade variants with appropriate input ranges and protection
  • Off-grid and solar sites — inverter plus battery bank sized to the measured load profile, with charging matched to the available source

Built to the duty, not picked from a list

Because these units come from our own factory, the specification is negotiable in the ways that matter:

  • Continuous and peak power, matched to the worst-case inrush
  • Input voltage window matched to the vehicle or bank
  • Output sockets, hardwired terminals or distribution as the install requires
  • Mounting, protection class and conformal coating to suit the environment

This is the practical difference between a catalogue product and a factory-direct one. Tell us the vehicle, the load and the runtime — send the load list — and we will propose the full DC-to-AC configuration with a buildable specification and lead time.
