Residential lithium UPS for essential home equipment
A home has no equipment room, so backup power has to fit inside a cupboard or a corner of a room. This installation covers the network, NAS, monitoring and lighting loads quietly, and with nothing routine to maintain.
A home installation has to protect the equipment a household actually depends on, without turning part of the flat into a plant room.
Configuration: Lithium battery UPS
The challenge
There is no plant room in a home, so the unit had to go inside a cupboard or in a corner — which makes noise, size and appearance real constraints rather than afterthoughts. The customer also did not want a system that needed water topping up by hand. On top of that, the backup had to protect only the equipment that genuinely matters, so that a limited battery capacity would not be spread thinly across the whole house.
What we did
We fitted a low-noise, maintenance-free lithium UPS, small enough to sit inside a cupboard without drawing attention. It covers the loads the household relies on — the router, the NAS, monitoring and lighting — for the short interruptions that are typical of a residential supply. Loads that do not need backup were taken off the protected circuit, so the available capacity is spent on the equipment that matters.
The result
During a power cut the network and monitoring stay up, and the rest of the household equipment is able to shut down in its normal sequence. The unit sits inside the existing furniture without changing the layout of the home, and once it is in place there is no routine maintenance to carry out.
