What this environment does to power equipment

Warehouses and marine sites share a harsh environment: vibration from vehicle traffic, humid and salt-laden air outdoors and at the waterfront, wide temperature swings, and equipment installed in places that are hard to service. On top of that, shipboard and offshore equipment often has no stable mains supply, so the backup system may carry the load for long stretches rather than minutes.

Typical applications

Warehouse management system (WMS) servers and scanning equipment
Cold and chilled storage temperature monitoring and logging
Control systems for automated sorting and conveying equipment
Lane barriers, weighbridges and access control
Ferry and vessel communications, navigation and monitoring equipment
Communications base stations at piers and water-transport facilities

How we handle the configuration

Vibration and fixing — battery strings and cabinets are reinforced so long-term movement cannot loosen connections.
Moisture and corrosion — enclosures and battery types suited to humid conditions, with protected terminals.
Wide-temperature batteries — where outdoor or plant-room temperature is uncontrolled, gel or lithium iron phosphate batteries usually outlast standard lead-acid.
Off-grid supply — for vessels and sites without mains, inverter supply with charge-discharge management.
Service access — the mounting position is chosen with future battery replacement and lifting in mind.

Who we work with

Third-party logistics and warehouse operators, cold storage, port and terminal operators, ferry and water-transport operators, shipping companies, offshore and engineering vessels.
