Built for the sites that kill ordinary UPS units

Dust on boards, humid air, a grid that sags every time the lift starts — none of these are exotic in Hong Kong's industrial buildings. The 93TX answers them with hardware rather than a service contract: coated boards, washable filters, an isolation transformer, and monitoring that warns before capacitors reach end of life.

When we specify it

Roughly: if the room has no air-conditioning, or the supply feeds motors and welders on the same riser, the TX is the default. We confirm with a site survey — the state of the existing distribution tells us more than the specification sheet does.

Key features

  • High-insulation output isolation transformer standard — isolates mains disturbance from the load and load harmonics from the inverter
  • IP21 enclosure, conformally coated circuit boards, washable dust filters included
  • IGBT rectification with full digital DSP control
  • Battery contactor standard — disconnects the DC system automatically on abnormality to protect the batteries
  • Monitors capacitor and key-component temperatures for life prediction and service prompts
  • Redundant power-module fans — a single fan failure still supports 70% load
  • Dummy-load test function verifies power devices and battery strings online
  • 15–30 kVA can take an internal input isolation transformer (40 kVA and up use a separate transformer cabinet)

Frequently asked questions

93T or 93TX — how do I choose?
The 93TX exists for environments that shorten an ordinary UPS's life: dust, humidity, heat and an unstable grid. If the room is clean, air-conditioned and fed from a stable supply, the [93T](/en/products/eaton-93t/) gives you the same capacity for less. If the site is a workshop, a rooftop room or a building with visible supply problems, the TX's isolation transformer and protection earn their keep.
What does the output isolation transformer actually do?
It separates the inverter from the load electrically: load-side faults and harmonic distortion do not feed back into the inverter, and the output neutral is derived locally, which simplifies earthing on older industrial installations.
