A workshop floor is not a machine room: the air carries metal dust and oil mist, ambient temperatures follow the seasons rather than a CRAC unit, and the supply shared with welders and large motors sags unpredictably. The 9EHD is engineered around those facts — coated boards, segregated airflow, isolation transformer, generous overload.

What does IP42 mean in practice?
Protected against tools, wires and moving parts, and against vertically dripping water, with interior components shielded from falling dust. It is not a wash-down rating — but it is the difference between annual cleaning and monthly cleaning in a dusty plant.
